Auto-update function slows down the computer?

I’ve read experiments done by geeks that show that those lame auto-updates performed by WinXP if you ever turn it on, slows down your overall performance dramatically. So is it better never to turn that auto-update feature on?

I am trying to insert the values in a table which has a field that is a auto increment and also primary key field.
I dont want to insert values in to that field.
While trying without set method for that field.
Showing error as “should insert values for primary key field”

When I go to favorites and select a site in a folder I go to the web site. When I go back to favorites the folder is still open with all the drop down site still showing. I would like to have all folders close when I return to favorites. Is there a setting to do this?
