I would just have your seats recovered it might save you time trying to find some and you could do your own style of seat cover depending on what they offer. You could cover one seat @ a time that way it would not be so costly, and yes it is nothing more than some bolts-however if you have electric seats you may want to unhook those first.

You could try looking in Hemmings Motor News (web site:) for replacement seats. As for the installation, I would think it should be a pretty straighforward job. Just unbolt the old seats and remove them (make sure there’s no seat belt electrical wiring in the way) and then install the new ones in the reverse order. The carpeting is a little harder since you’ll have to remove the seats, console (if equipped), and most of the trim around the old carpet. It’s time consuming, but when you’re done, you’ll be the proud owner of a new-looking interior.

Probably get them recovered cheaper, to match your colors. You’re talking a 20 year old car, so most seats will probably be in the same condition.

Front seats are just 4 bolts and maybe a wire connector. Rear seats are pretty simple as well.

You can try at this site. BTW, this is a great site for Subie owners.
